skateboard ramps, skateboard ramp plansEvery state in the US has some skateboarding parks where the skateboard ramps are available for free, but what if you live a long ways from a skateboard park? You can make your own skateboard ramps! It's inexpensive, it's fun, and you can get skateboard ramp plans online. When you're ready to start, get the skateboard ramp plans, and start building. Being able to do your own jumps from your own ramps is lots of fun, and it's much more convenient to do it at home than having to go to a skateboard park, particularly if they are far away.

You'll need a saw of some kind, hammer, nails, and a measuring tape. Make sure you write down the materials you'll need from the home improvement store or lumber store before you go. There could be a lot to remember, and lumber comes in different sizes. If you don't have a power saw, maybe you could have the store cut the wood to your dimensions, or rent a power saw. You can even paint the sides if you want, but there's no point in painting the ramp itself unless you plan to leave it out in the rain or snow. Then you'll definitely want to seal the wood on your skateboard ramps somehow.
