skateboard ramps, skateboard ramp plans

Wooden skateboard ramps make skateboarding much more exciting, and while you can buy them, you can also make them if you have any access to shop tools and a space to do the work. Take a look at this video of a guy who built the mother of all skateboard ramps.

I think that's pretty impressive. Obviously he didn't go out shopping for skateboard ramp plans. He did everything himself. While you can buy premade skateboard ramps not every kid can afford to do that so the alternative is to make your own. A few years back we had some neighbor's whose kids and their friends were really into skateboarding. These kids were constantly building skateboard ramps out of two by fours and plywood. They were really excited about daring each other to make more and more risky jumps by building higher and longer skateboard ramps. These kids were always putting together there own skateboarding equipment. They would sit out in the street and work on their skateboards together doing things like changing wheels and such. I don't think they really wanted premade skateboard ramps. They were having too much fun building their own ramps to even want premade ones. They had a lot of pride in making up their own skateboard ramp plans.  They had a lot of fun being able to customize them for how you want to ride. You can make them fit your backyard or driveway, and you might even be able to work with your skateboarding friends on coming up with something that is really challenging that you will be able to use for many months or years to come. Putting your head together with someone else on designing skateboard ramp plans could be a lot of fun.
