<img title="Skateboard Ramps" height="174" alt="skateboard ramps, how to build skateboard ramps" Ramps" src="http://admin.moguling.com/Upload/skateboardgrindrailblueprints.com/box.jpg" width="395" style="width: 395px; height: 174px" />The most expensive component of skateboard ramps is the coping or medal L-shaped rails. In the spirit of saving money, I have included some instructions on how to build skateboard ramps for under 50 dollars. The most bang for your buck comes when building a box with built on rail. The best way to start is to find a local construction yard or woodworking business. Ask them if they have any scrap 2 x 4s or beams that will make up the interior structure.

I would shoot for a box that is four feet wide and 8 feet long. The height is completely up to you. For beginners something a couple inches above curb height works great. If you are unsure about how to build a stable box, look up free skateboard ramp plans online.

Once the exoskeleton of the box is completed head down to the store and buy smooth masonite wood sheets for the top and nail down. The most expensive portion is the metal edges, which are to be glued to the long sides of the box. Buy the best instant bonding metal glue out there. Slap on some stickers and start on other skateboard ramps.

A lot of skaters make use of almost anything they find as a rail, but with skateboard grind rail blueprints riders can have something specifically made for skateboarding that is also safe. There is no better place to practice grinding than your homemade rails created from skateboard grind rail blueprints. A very popular type of rail is the adjustable grind rail, because they allow riders to improve their skills over time. With some adjustable skateboard grind rail blueprints riders can increase the height of the rail from nine inches to nineteen inches with several options in between or they can adjust only one end of the rail to be higher and create an ideal situation for practicing board slides. Another benefit to adjustable skateboard grind rail blueprints is that add variety to your skate layout at home. For example, you can create transitions from your quarter pipe to your grind rail or vice versa. This allows you to create even more challenging situations for yourself and to test your skills or improve them over time. If you can combine your skateboard grind rail blueprint with home made skateboard ramps, you are going to have the best home set up in the area.

The great thing about premade skateboard ramps, aside all the work they save, is that they can fit almost anywhere. Some of the premade skateboard ramps out there are small enough that they could even fit inside a large garage. Some do require minimal assembly, but the time spent putting some parts together is going to be much less than building them from scratch. Premade skateboard ramps make an excellent gift for the kids in the family or even the not-so-kid-like members that are into skateboarding. They will love it, because they won’t have to wait too long to start doing some aerials and you now how they hate to wait to have fun. When it comes to premade skateboard ramps you can choose from quarter pipe, half pipe or you can even get a launch pad. There are even some ramps out there that are portable and foldable so one can take them anywhere. I think most premade ramps are made of some type of metal, but there are some premade wooden skateboard ramps out there that are just as good. These types of ramps are hot right now and, I think, will remain a hot item for years to come—way too much fun.

Skateboarders without access to the amenities that these parks offer can build their own wooden skateboard ramps by downloading skateboard ramp plans from the Internet. These plans are easy to understand and the skateboard ramps can be easy to build. Basically, you'll need a hammer, power saw, tape measure, nails, and an assortment of lumber, depending on the skateboard ramp plans you choose.

Once you have cut them out, skateboard ramps are easy to assemble. You'll have to nail the frame together, or use screws for greater stability. You can use glue to make the joints permanent, and once the frame has been constructed, you just cover it with the plywood that the skateboard ramp plans specify for the skateboard ramp. Building your own is a good alternative to buying them, and once you get practice making a few ramps, you can add variations to your ramps or change the slope for more challenging skateboarding.

Skateboarding is fun, a great form of exercise, a way to meet new people with similar interests, and a way to show off athletic ability. One of the best ways to show off agility and athleticism is with the help of a good skateboard ramps. Skaters will be able to find many different types of skateboard ramps on which they can practice their skills. Some of the most common ramps are quarter pipe, half pipe, pyramid, hip, wedge, launch, and bank. Each of the different types of skateboard ramps allow for different kinds of tricks. Ramps are also designed for specific skill levels. As one gains more confidence and skill, he or she can move on to the bigger and more daring skateboard ramp styles. However, to be able to extract as much enjoyment as possible from their skateboard ramps, riders have to make sure that they have all the safety equipment needed for a safe ride.

So I went online in search for a safety helmet that not only offered excellent protection while riding the skateboard ramps, but also looked fashionable. After a bit of helmet hunting I found the Protec B2 SXP Gloss White XL in an online mall called Your Corner Mall located at www.yourcornermall.com. I was actually impressed with this online mall, because it had an ample skateboarding section which something that, from my experience, most online mall shops lack. The thing that that first caught my eye about this safety helmet was the nice soft colors it has. I don’t know why, but I’ve always liked the contrast of white and light green. Plus, in my opinion, the color scheme also offers extra protection at night because these colors reflect light a lot better than other color schemes—which means cars can see riders better. I did a bit more research on this helmet to see what kind of protection it offered and found out, by reading some reviews online, that this helmet comes with Pro-tec’s exclusive Lo-Pro 2-stage foam which some riders, in the reviews I read, say gives the helmet a light, airy feel while giving providing maximum protection.

Skateboard ramps and skateboard ramp plans are going to be everywhere very soon. Before we are ready to take full advantage of our favorite rides we must take some time to ensure that we can enjoy this excellent sport in the safest way possible. The skateboard helmet is not all we need to accomplish this but it is an excellent start. The good news is that we can look good while being safe with helmets like this one.

People who love to skateboard really miss it in the winter, but it can be done on dry surfaces inside or out. You might not want to put your skateboard ramps in the living room unless you have really high ceilings and move the furniture and breakables out of the way.

You can also spend winter to build your own skateboard ramps. You can get skateboard ramp plans online, and even learn how to make them at some websites. Skateboard ramps are easy to build and don't have to be pretty, so if you're new to woodworking, skateboard ramps are a good way to learn to use saws, hammers, drills, and other woodworking tools you'll need to assemble the ramps. They are inexpensive to build and can be customized to meet your needs.

<img align="right" title="Wooden Skateboard Ramps " height="249" alt="wooden skateboard ramps, skateboard ramps" skateboard ramps, skateboard ramps" hspace="0" src="http://blogger.dotventures.com/Upload/skateboardgrindrailblueprints.com/WoodenSkateboardRamps.jpg" width="292" border="0" ?="" ramps="" skateboard="" />Some of the coolest ramps to ride on are wooden skateboard ramps, because they have a certain give to them which allows for more control to do flashy tricks. Ultimately, skateboarding is not about transportation but about flash and wooden skateboard ramps are the best place to show our riding skills, but there is always a way that to make ourselves stand out while beating the heck of those wooden skateboard ramps. So I went searching for something that would go excellently along with wood ramps while at the same time adding a sense of style and flash to our ride. I searched a bunch of professional skateboard sites and didn’t really see anything that caught my eye, so I gave up on the search and started shopping for other things I needed. While doing this, I hit an online store called Your Corner Mall found at http://www.yourcornermall.com/ which happened to have a skateboarding section and went to see what an online shopping mall had to offer for skateboarders. This is when I found the perfect thing to go along the wooden skateboard ramps riders love to use. This online shopping mall had the Xboard Illuminator Skateboard Light Red which goes under your board to create a light show out of your favorite boarding tricks.

Imagine going to your favorite park to ride the best wooden skateboard ramps around and the sun begins to go down when all of sudden you get on the ramp and a red colored hallo emerges from under your board illuminating every single 360, ollie, rock to fakie and indy grab you can muster at the moment. Everyone around you is going to be mesmerized by the aura coming from the bottom of your board. Trust me, with the Xboard Illuminator Skateboard Light Red you are going to look like the devil on wheels. The best thing is that the shine from wooden skateboard ramps is going to reflect the light from under the board better than any other material giving the whole illumination effect an extra dimension. The lighting system consists of six super bright LEDs that emit light in four directions (forward, rearward, left and right). Just two AA batteries power the units and provide over 50 hours of bright light. A slide switch activates the LEDs, which illuminates the surface underneath and around your skateboard. You can ride with them on all the way to the ramp or you can wait until you get there and show off at the right time. Who knew that I would find the perfect thing to go along with wooden skateboard ramps in an online shopping mall? The best thing of all is that after doing a bit more digging, the price for this item at Your Corner Mall is very nice compared to those “professional” online sites. And don’t worry about durability the XBoard Illuminators are made from high impact ABS plastic and are designed to help prevent damage to the LEDs which last up to 11 years (100,000 hour life span). Time to go beat the heck out of some wooden skateboard ramps the right way!

If you and a parent have a way to make skateboard ramps in your garage or backyard, you could have an awful lot of fun doing it, and learn something about building things. There are skateboard ramp plans online that help you figure out how to buy the materials, cut them, and attach them to the frame. These plans are geared for the novice builder.

Building things is so rewarding. It may involve some hard work and a little sweat equity, but once you start building your own ramps, you may find that woodworking is something you will really enjoy. By building your own skateboard ramps, you'll develop a set of skills that you can take with you and use throughout your whole life. I'm the daughter of a wonderful cabinet maker, and he taught me how to build all sorts of things, including skateboard ramps. To this day, I many happy memories of working in the garage with him. If you think this is something you'd like to try, suggest it to your parents or someone who can help you.

     <img title="skateboard ramps" height="95" alt="skateboard ramps, skateboard ramp plans" ramps" hspace="0" src="http://admin.moguling.com/Upload/skateboardgrindrailblueprints.com/skateboard ramp.jpg" width="127" border="2" />

      Wooden skateboard ramps make skateboarding much more exciting, and while you can buy them, you can also make them if you have any access to shop tools and a space to do the work. Take a look at this video of a guy who built the mother of all skateboard ramps.

   I think that's pretty impressive. Obviously he didn't go out shopping for skateboard ramp plans. He did everything himself. While you can buy premade skateboard ramps not every kid can afford to do that so the alternative is to make your own. A few years back we had some neighbor's whose kids and their friends were really into skateboarding. These kids were constantly building skateboard ramps out of two by fours and plywood. They were really excited about daring each other to make more and more risky jumps by building higher and longer skateboard ramps. These kids were always putting together there own skateboarding equipment. They would sit out in the street and work on their skateboards together doing things like changing wheels and such. I don't think they really wanted premade skateboard ramps. They were having too much fun building their own ramps to even want premade ones. They had a lot of pride in making up their own skateboard ramp plans. They had a lot of fun being able to customize them for how you want to ride. You can make them fit your backyard or driveway, and you might even be able to work with your skateboarding friends on coming up with something that is really challenging that you will be able to use for many months or years to come. Putting your head together with someone else on designing skateboard ramp plans could be a lot of fun.
